Dunnottar Castle
Dunnottar Castle is located just off the main A92, Stonehaven/Montrose road , less than two miles south of Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire.
From the North
Travelling along the A90, continue past Stonehaven and take the junction signposted Montrose and Arbroath (A92). Having left the slip road continue straight on past the Stonehaven turning for about 1.5 miles and then take the next left, which is sign posted Dunnottar Castle. The car park is located approximately 100 yards on the right.

帰り道 Ｍａｌｌａｉｇ から Fort Williamへ 景色よし
A830 (Fortwilliam-Mallaig)
FortwilliamからMallaigまでのA830は，ハイランドのドライブ旅行の中でもとっておきの道です．このA830とほぼ平行して走 る鉄道はUKでも一二を争う景観を誇る路線です．したがってA830の景観も素晴らしいものです．ただし，飛ばせる道ではありません．素晴らしい景観を楽 しみながらのんびり走る道です．マレイグからのフェリーの便数が限られていますので，そのフェリーに間に合わせようとして焦って走る羽目になることを避け ましょう．A830を時間を気にしながら急いで走るなんて，宝石をゴミ箱に捨てるような行為です．

帰り道 Fort William から Ｇｌａｓｇｏｗへ A82
A82（Glasgow-Fort William)
私がハイランドとの逢瀬を重ねた道である．グラスゴーから１時間とたたないうちにLoch Lomondが視界に入ってくる．その後も，広く静かな湖面とBen Lomondの勇姿の組み合わせ，Crianlarichの山々，Rannoch Moor，Glencoeと，贅の限りを尽くした情景が続く．グラスゴー滞在で，もし一日だけ自由になるとしたら，私は迷わずA82をたどるために使う．
沿線に名所が多いので夏のハイシーズンは混雑するが，日本の渋滞ほどではない．ただ，切れ目なく車が走るということだ．また，Loch Lomondに沿って走る部分で，日本での山道を運転を思わせる見通しの悪い区間がある．これは湖の水辺まで山が迫っているという，日本でよくある地形に よるのだが，この区間を地元の車は40マイル以上で飛ばしていく．A82を走るためには，それについていく運転技術を要するので注意．碓氷峠や安房峠の旧 道が好きな人なら，余裕を持って走れるだろう．

From the Skye Bridge on the A87
Leave the Skye Bridge and take the 3rd exit at the mini roundabout heading on the A87 for Broadford. Travel approximately 3½ miles. You will pass a sign for 'Breakish'. Continue on this road for about ¼ mile. Maltby is signposted on the lefthand side, immediately before a triangular shaped road sign indicateding a lefthand bend. The house is evelvated at the end of a short approach road.
Total journey time from the Skye Bridge - 10 minutes
From the Mallaig Ferry
Leave the ferry and head on the main road to Broadford, the A851, driving for approxiamtely 15 miles until you join the A87. Turn right and head through the small township of Scullamus into Breakish. After approximately 3 miles Maltby is signposted on the right hand side of the road, about 100 metres after a sharp right hand bend. The house is elevated at the end of a short approach road.
Total journey time from Armadale - 30 minutes
